About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs trade-related maintenance work, with an emphasis on painting and wall repair. The role also involves work on portable equipment and other hardware as directed. The technician performs duties professionally and productively, emphasizing guest satisfaction and supporting the successful operation of Meydenbauer Center. The position requires independent work with minimal supervision and may include weekend, evening, and holiday work.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a maintenance-based environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skill in operating commonly used building-trade tools and applying materials.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions and solve problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work some weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Repair drywall damage to like-new condition.
• Paint walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed.
• Repair and adjust door hardware and install new components as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform corrective work when approved.
• Participate in preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used in the work order system.
• Perform duties professionally and productively, emphasizing guest satisfaction.
• Use, store, and dispose of waste materials appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
