About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building's physical appearance and the functionality of the club's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as general upkeep. This role ensures the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features in accordance with established procedures and budgets. The technician will also maintain clean and orderly maintenance and engineering storerooms and work areas, properly storing all tools, equipment, and spare parts. A key aspect of this role is the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment, timely and professional completion of delegated work orders, and responding to after-hour calls as necessary. The technician must also report and address unsafe conditions immediately and perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete all types of work orders generated for engineering.
  • Must have a general understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to effectively perform painting, woodworking, and general carpentry.
  • Ability to perform maintenance and general repair.
  • Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeymen level experience or equivalent in a trade
  • 2+ years in building maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the building’s physical appearance and working order of the club.
  • Assist with the functionality and general upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features.
  • Keep all maintenance and engineering storerooms and work areas clean and orderly.
  • Store all tools, equipment, and spare parts in their proper locations.
  • Properly treat and care for tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
  • Complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to after-hour calls as necessary.
  • Report and address unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
