About The Position

Deschutes Brewery is hiring Full-Time Maintenance Technicians to support the production and packaging of their beer. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment efficiencies and minimizing downtime through proactive monitoring and maintenance of state-of-the-art equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience with utilities such as Steam Boilers, CO2 delivery systems, Electrical distribution and Control systems, Water, Wastewater, Chemical and Compressed air delivery systems, and Glycol Chillers.

Requirements

Previous experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or related field.
2+ years of verifiable experience or any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to handle the required duties of this position.
Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Basic computer skills (MS Windows Platform, MS Outlook for email).
Ability to work quickly to solve problems.
Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and commitment to following through and achieving results.
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize both day to day and longer-term projects.
Self-motivated to achieve, or exceed, desired results.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a brewery, food production, or beverage manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to work with a team by actively listening and cooperatively solving problems and relates well to others.

Responsibilities

Repairs, replaces, adjusts, and aligns components of machinery and equipment.
Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs to manufacturing equipment as needed.
Observes devices/systems in operation to locate causes of trouble.
Repairs and replaces defective parts.
Troubleshoots, maintains, overhauls, lubricates, disassembles, and repairs equipment as needed.
Provides consistent communication with fellow maintenance team members and Operations team.
Utilizes CMMS system to view work order assignments, document parts usage and labor hours, add notes of work completed, and close out work orders.
Follows procedures for documenting parts usage and reporting inventory levels.
Assesses job hazards and contributes to providing the safest work environment possible.
