About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing varied duties to install, repair, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee to maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.

Requirements

Must meet all healthcare requirements, including Tuberculosis skin test.
Must be in positive standing with all healthcare agencies, including the Employment Clearance Registry and Adult Maltreatment Registry.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
An Associates’ degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain facility equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of facility as needed and performs scheduled maintenance repairs to avoid disturbing the facility’s schedule.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Coordinate the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
