About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Anchor Fabrication Kansas equipment and facilities are in good working order. This includes the maintenance and repair of production equipment, diagnosing problems and maintaining all machinery and mechanical equipment.

Requirements

  • High school education or the equivalent, required.
  • 3-5 years of Maintenance in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Must possess high organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, stoop, lift, reach and move throughout the facility
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and/or overtime as necessary.
  • Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and possess ability to work efficiently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment that integrates electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with minimal assistance.
  • Uses analytical troubleshooting skills to make repairs and corrections based on observation of equipment in operation and product defects.
  • Dismantles defective machinery and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems then repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Tests machines following repairs to ensure good product quality prior to returning machine to service.
  • Processes work requests using computerized maintenance management system.
  • Use equipment manuals to determine parts to be ordered.
  • Apply good judgment in determining technical objectives of assignment.
  • Communicates with other personnel concerning operation, safety and performance of equipment.
  • Undertake other duties assigned.
