The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing predictive, preventative, and breakdown maintenance procedures on equipment. This role supports production by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical failures, fabricating and installing new equipment, and performing daily inspections of plant equipment and systems. The technician will utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders and procedures, capture equipment deficiency information, and communicate effectively with the facilities engineer/manager and co-workers. Collaboration with the entire maintenance team and site operations team is crucial for smooth operations. The role also involves assisting with parts inventory, requisitioning supplies, maintaining housekeeping standards, implementing safe work practices, providing emergency assistance, participating in the HAZMAT team, and directing outside contractors. Continuous learning through industry associations and vendor training is expected.
