About The Position

The Plant and Maintenance Technician is responsible for diversified maintenance operations on plant production and facility equipment. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing highly diversified maintenance operations on plant production and facility equipment, according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. The technician will perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, as well as emergency and unscheduled repairs to optimize plant performance and operating efficiency. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders, performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and carpentry functions, diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments. The role also requires detecting faulty operations, defective materials, and reporting them to management, completing and submitting inspection and testing data, and ensuring safe work practices in compliance with codes and company policies. Inspections on new equipment are also part of the duties.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial or related maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs highly diversified maintenance operations on plant production and facility equipment.
  • Performs scheduled plant preventive maintenance activities on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Performs emergency and unscheduled repairs on plant production and facility equipment.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
  • Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and carpentry functions, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Tests, maintains, and repairs all major components of the plant.
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and makes adjustments.
  • Detects faulty operations, defective materials, and reports them and any unusual situations to management.
  • Completes and submits assigned inspection and testing data as required.
  • Complies with and ensures that peers and subcontractors demonstrate safe work practices in compliance with Federal, State, and local codes and with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs inspections on new equipment.
