The Maintenance Technician performs general building maintenance tasks. Utilizing a ticketing system, they complete general maintenance service requests including changing locks, changing ceiling tiles, troubleshooting HVAC and plumbing issues, unclogging toilets, replacing lights and emergency fixtures, minor electrical repairs, and installing/repairing doors and hardware. They also investigate and repair roof leaks, set up and climb extension ladders, caulk doors and windows, perform interior and exterior painting, ground maintenance, drywall installation and repair, and operate power and hand tools. Additionally, they install and repair dock bumpers, picnic tables, and trash cans. The role requires implementing safe practices, interacting professionally with tenants, vendors, and contractors, delivering superior customer service, monitoring and responding promptly to emails and text messages, and responding to after-hours emergencies. Technology such as iPads, cell phones, and computers are used for work ticketing and communication.
