Maintenance Technician (Signing Bonus $1,000)
About The Position
At Palms Associates, we build, own, and manage our communities, offering consistent leadership and long-term stability. We are seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician with experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Heat Pumps. Strong HVAC experience is preferred. We are currently offering a $1,000 signing bonus, a $150 weekly on-call stipend, industry-leading retirement benefits including a 401(k) with a 4% match and historically 6.25% profit sharing, and low-cost health coverage with employer contributions to an HSA. We also provide in-house EPA Universal Certification training for HVAC professionals while you are paid.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of apartment maintenance experience
- Well-rounded general maintenance skills (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, etc.)
- Proactive problem-solver with strong initiative
- Collaborative team player who works well in a skilled crew environment
- Technologically proficient, comfortable using MS Office 365 and a personal mobile device
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- A professional who values integrity and long-term employment commitment
- Valid Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Strong hands-on HVAC experience is PREFERRED.
- EPA Certification for refrigerant handling (preferred — willing to certify you!)
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Heat Pumps.
- Perform well-rounded general maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
- Install heat pumps.
