About The Position

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have PLC experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must actively support our Health Safety and Environmental policy, immediately report all Safety hazards and correct them when able to safely do so, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspects, and use all required PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Provides maintenance support for production operations.
  • Observes, troubleshoots and repairs production equipment and associated devices.
  • Trouble shoots and repairs electrical equipment.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through designated channels.
  • Verifies the implementation of solutions.
  • Controls further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory activities, including internal quality audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
