Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. Provides maintenance support for production operations. Observes, troubleshoots and repairs production equipment and associated devices. Trouble shoots and repairs electrical equipment. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems. Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through designated channels. Verifies the implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory activities, including internal quality audits. Other duties as assigned.
