Maintenance Technician - Middlefield Junction
About The Position

As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country. The successful Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard-free environment. Middlefield Junction is nestled in the North Fair Oaks neighborhood of Redwood City, with easy access to 101, 82 and 84. A total of 179 units with 1, 2 and 3-bedroom new apartment homes in two buildings, with the first building opening Summer 2025 and the second building opening in 2026. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
- Take direction from the supervisor.
- Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions.
- Flexible to change work plans.
- Maintain a professional personal appearance.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work.
- Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.
Responsibilities
- Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
- Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
- Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
