About The Position

Fortis Property Management is seeking a Luxury Maintenance Technician for a full-time, hourly position at Riverworks at Eastern Wharf, a Conventional/Luxury Living property. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in various aspects of the assigned community. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2 years prior property maintenance experience or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, and pool care.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of general property operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Some Vocational/Technical school and/or college.
  • EPA Certification preferred.
  • CPO Certification preferred.
  • Yardi, PO Purchase System property management software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in achieving budgeted maintenance expenses.
  • Assist in the achievement of the annual budget plan.
  • Advise the Maintenance Supervisor on stock levels of supplies and equipment.
  • Report on the physical condition of the community, including vacation apartments.
  • Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of maintenance problems and solutions.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Provide same-day service on work orders.
  • Walk the community daily to identify needed repairs.
  • Maintain knowledge of all utility cut-offs.
  • Communicate daily with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding progress, follow-up, or complications with maintenance activities.
  • Produce 5-day turns on vacant units.
  • Assume emergency on-call duty status as scheduled.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the maintenance shop.
  • Perform other duties as delegated.
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Complete all work orders to ensure the highest quality of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional image and attitude.
  • Attend instructional training classes as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Adhere to and properly implement all Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Fair Housing policies and procedures, ADA, OSHA, and EPA policies and procedures.
