About The Position

Hard Truth is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our growing hospitality campus. This role supports a diverse portfolio that includes a 325-acre destination distillery campus, Hard Truth Restaurant, Bars and outdoor venues, Tours & Tasting Center, Big Woods Pizza, Event venues hosting large public festivals and concerts, Corporate buildings and grounds, and a Company vehicle fleet. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and taking pride in keeping facilities and equipment operating at a high level. The ideal candidate has experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment and possesses strong HVAC and refrigeration troubleshooting skills. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility upkeep across multiple Hard Truth hospitality properties. This role requires a well-rounded technician capable of working on HVAC systems, commercial refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in hospitality, restaurant, commercial property, or related environments
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems
• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems
• Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a CMMS or maintenance tracking software
• Welding, carpentry, or construction experience

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment, and vehicles
• Complete inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Assist with asset tracking and maintenance scheduling
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment
• Perform seasonal inspections and preventative maintenance
• Replace components such as motors, belts, capacitors, contactors, and thermostats
• Work with outside contractors when needed
• Diagnose and repair walk-in coolers, freezers, prep tables, reach-ins, ice machines, and beverage systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment
• Monitor system performance and recommend corrective actions
• Repair sinks, faucets, toilets, drains, water heaters, and plumbing fixtures
• Troubleshoot water supply and drainage issues
• Perform minor plumbing installations and upgrades
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues in commercial facilities
• Replace lighting, switches, outlets, breakers, and electrical components
• Assist with equipment installations and repairs
• Perform general building repairs, carpentry, painting, and facility improvements
• Support seasonal grounds maintenance projects
• Assist with snow removal, event setup, and campus improvements
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment
• Support operations by responding quickly to maintenance requests
• Minimize downtime that impacts guest experience or revenue
• Assist with routine maintenance of company vehicles, trailers, and utility equipment
• Conduct inspections and coordinate repairs when necessary
• Provide maintenance support during public events and festivals
• Ensure facilities, utilities, and equipment are operational before and during events
• Respond to urgent maintenance needs during large-scale guest events
