About The Position
Wedgewood Weddings is hiring Maintenance Technicians to preserve the condition and functionality of its event venues, buildings, and common grounds. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility and production equipment in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes that support site business goals. The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, able to work independently and responsibly, and follows health and safety guidelines. The position also includes maintaining the facility and grounds, completing repairs under the General Manager’s direction, assembling furniture or equipment as needed, and helping ensure the safety of guests and employees. Candidates should understand and adhere to environmental standards. The role may involve responding to occasional weekend emergencies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in facility maintenance or construction.
- Experience with drywall repair, painting, carpentry, tile, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Extensive working knowledge of one or more construction trades and good working knowledge of others.
- Attention to detail and quality-driven work.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to complete tasks effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Ability to prioritize work by importance.
- Ability to work in high and low temperatures.
- Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Availability to respond to occasional weekend emergencies.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly while observing health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Keep all areas of the facility in good working order.
- Remove trash from the facility and grounds.
- Perform major and minor facility repairs under the direction of the General Manager.
- Apply general construction knowledge and hands-on skills in areas including plumbing, framing, drywall, electrical work, painting, refrigeration, and landscaping.
- Assemble furniture or equipment based on business needs.
- Help ensure the safety of guests and employees.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager, Regional Manager, or Director of Facilities.
- Understand and adhere to environmental standards.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in accordance with applicable maintenance systems and processes.
