About The Position

This position performs general facilities maintenance to ensure the building, surrounding grounds, walkways, and equipment remain safe, clean, and fully operational. It also supports the maintenance department in addressing facility and equipment needs. The role follows safety policies and procedures, manages and completes work orders in a timely manner, and helps maintenance leadership develop solutions for equipment and building repairs. Duties may vary and other job-related responsibilities may be assigned by site leadership.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
Technical background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, processing, and blueprints.
Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety requirements when working on or around plant and production equipment.
Knowledge of plant operations and communicative properties in all areas of plant operations.
Knowledge of formulas, theories, and measurements.
Knowledge of GMP, SQF, OSHA, ANSI, NEC, and QS9000 regulations.
Ability to use technical equipment and tools to troubleshoot plant facilities and equipment.
Basic computer literacy and ability to document work in a CMMS (EAM) system and complete work orders, including follow-up work required during preventive maintenance.
Ability to prioritize work.
Basic understanding of drawings and procedures related to maintaining equipment and the building side of plant operations.
Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Prioritize, assign, and complete work orders in a timely manner.
Assist maintenance leadership in developing solutions for equipment and building repairs.
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, floor repair, wall repair, and general facilities maintenance.
Repair and inspect lighting and emergency lighting fixtures, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Install bathroom fixtures, towel dispensers, and similar items.
Safely operate equipment needed for facilities maintenance in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and maintenance on heating and air-conditioning units.
Complete basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work as assigned.
Assist with repairs to toilets, sinks, and other light plumbing.
Perform inspections and document compliance-related work orders within specified time limits to meet federal, state, and local agency requirements.
Document work and follow-up work in the CMMS (EAM) system, including while performing preventive maintenance.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
