About The Position

Come join us at Lourdes Noreen-McKeen Residence! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician.

Requirements

High School or vocational school graduate or equivalent.
Three years experience in building maintenance which must include plumbing and electrical experience.
Demonstrated independent contracting experience in general repairs considered.
Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

Courses in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, carpentry, drywall or building trades preferred.

Responsibilities

Assure that maintenance schedules are followed at all times.
Perform routine maintenance including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, painting, etc.
Maintain equipment in laundry, kitchen, boiler rooms, and individual air conditioners.
Perform unscheduled maintenance as requested.
May be required to perform the duties of a Security Guard on a temporary or as needed basis.
As scheduled, comply with on-call maintenance schedule for response to call 24 hours a day.
