About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will coordinate with Manufacturing Supervisors and Maintenance personnel to provide maintenance support as required to allow the manufacturing process to proceed with minimal down time due to mechanical problems. This role involves troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, calibrating equipment, and utilizing safe work habits. The technician will also perform advanced carpentry projects, ensure areas are clean and safe, and communicate effectively to understand internal needs. They must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and interpret various documents such as safety rules and operating manuals. A strong understanding of production components and energy storage is necessary for safe and productive operation. The role requires maintaining a high level of quality and safety awareness, and familiarity with computer, PLC hardware and software, inverter drivers, photo-eyes, proximity switches, counters, level sensors, controllers, and other computer or controls basis interface equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
Ability to work overtime and shift work as required.
Good vision required for safe operation of forklift.
Preferred ability to read, write and speak English.
Electrical license, electrical controls experience and/or certification preferred.
Ability to read labels on pipe along with specs on paper.
Ability to read pressure gauges.
Welding Knowledge required.
Must possess basic knowledge of electrical controls.
Must possess knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
Ability to operate Forklifts, scissor or bucket lifts.
Ability to operate multimeter, amprobe, and hand tools.
Assist with OJT (On Job Training) employees as needed.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting of equipment - Electrical disconnects, subpanels, and main switchgear to aid in the troubleshooting process.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Calibrate various equipment.
Utilize safe work habits.
Wear appropriate PPE - Safety harness, LOTO equipment and any other safety equipment required by NOV, FGS, and OSHA.
Performs advanced carpentry projects including coordinating the build out of special projects as requested.
Assists and ensures all areas are returned to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition according to policy and procedure.
Ability to interpret internal needs through strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and assignments.
Solid ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Familiar with all components capable of production and storing energy so the interaction of these components as it pertains to the production equipment and safety can be maintained and operated in a safe and productive manner.
Maintain a high level of quality and safety awareness.
Work with Computer, PLC hardware and software, inverter drivers, photo-eyes, proximity switches, counters, level sensors, controllers and any other equipment requiring a computer or controls basis interface.
