About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times. This role assists in developing and prioritizing work orders, completing work order requests, and supporting workplace organization and production efficiency programs. The technician also coaches and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance checks, supports the preventative maintenance process, and contributes to line commissioning after maintenance/process events. Additionally, the role assists with other plant projects as needed and operates in a manner that provides value to the team, performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
  • Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Success in planning, executing and managing projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
  • Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
  • Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
  • Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
  • Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
  • Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
  • Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
  • Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
  • Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
  • Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
  • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Benefits

  • Sign-On bonus: $2,100.00 ($700.00 after 90 days, $700.00 after 6 months, $700.00 after 1 year of employment)
