About The Position

Woodstream is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Juneau, Wisconsin. This role is an integral part of the production team, responsible for assisting the maintenance manager in machine uptime and upkeep. The technician will also support the production team with minor troubleshooting and setups, and contribute to general facility upkeep and projects. Success in this role is measured by positive communication, cooperation, interaction, and contribution towards Woodstream's goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or proven on-the-job related technical experience.
  • Understanding of basic math skills.
  • Ability to use basic measurement tools.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Set-up/troubleshooting, repair and maintenance experience in a machine-based, FDA manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to continually learn and develop new skills and knowledge.
  • Methodical and effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Initiative to pursue both personal and team goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to keep several projects moving forward at the same time.
  • Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision.
  • Able to work with and receive direction from many individuals besides their direct supervisor.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Provides input to ensure continuous improvements throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Assist maintenance manager in improving equipment and process performance, and implement ideas to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
  • Operate forklift and high lift equipment, requiring certification and safe operation at all times.
  • Act as a machine expert, capable of running, operating, and passing operator certifications.
  • Ensure equipment availability and readiness to meet production schedule requirements and throughput rates.
  • Maintain uptime on all production equipment to meet throughput rates consistently.
  • Perform clean, inspect, and lubricate procedures.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are clean and sanitary, following FDA's CGMPs.
  • Diagnose machine problems quickly and perform effective troubleshooting to maintain production.
  • Complete set-ups in a timely and accurate manner according to production requirements.
  • Provide quality instruction, education, and support to production operators.
  • Demonstrate safety awareness and execute safety policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of others.
  • Perform facility and grounds upkeep, including changing light bulbs, shoveling, painting, and cleaning.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and orderly work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
