This role is responsible for maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance. The technician will troubleshoot complex equipment, read and interpret manuals and work orders, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. They will actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, respond to equipment process concerns, and prioritize work orders, preventative maintenance (PM), and corrective maintenance (CM) as needed. Adherence to schedules, operational procedures, and safety precautions is essential. The technician will perform safety checks, diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures, and participate in daily maintenance projects, preparatory meetings for overhauls, and follow-up checks on repairs. Reporting of hazardous findings to EHS and the Maintenance Manager, maintaining inventory, and reporting on project progress are also key responsibilities. The role involves ensuring proper care of equipment and supplies, promoting workplace safety and environmental practices, and supporting the development of short and long-range plans and Maintenance SOPs. The technician will also inspect and record work performed and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
