About The Position

The Maintenance Technician ensures production equipment is set up and maintained to produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers. This role involves preparing and configuring machinery for scheduled production runs, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics (PLC’s), and hydraulic systems, and providing immediate corrective maintenance support to production lines, conveyor belts, and ancillary production equipment. The technician will also check and maintain proper fluid levels, perform overhauls of existing production equipment, and complete daily checks of the ammonia refrigeration, boiler, and air systems. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing various facility items, installing new production equipment, and reading/interpreting equipment manuals and work orders. Compliance with OSHA Safety and Health rules is mandatory, and this position is responsible for the food safety of our products.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance ideally in a food environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role, preferably in the food manufacturing environment or equivalent/relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment highly preferred or equivalent/relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a machinist.
  • Ability to motivate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must be flexible in working any shift available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
