About The Position

Spring Haven Senior Living is seeking a reliable, experienced, and versatile Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a "Swiss Army Knife" maintenance professional role that requires the ability to tackle a variety of maintenance challenges throughout the community, including drywall repair, plumbing, apartment turns, and general troubleshooting. The maintenance team plays a critical role in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. This position participates in an on-call rotation, generally for one week per month, and requires the ability to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Spring Haven Senior Living is a premier senior living community in Central Florida with 299 apartments, and the maintenance team is essential for ensuring residents' homes and the community remain safe, attractive, and fully operational.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum two years of maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
  • Ability to participate in the on-call rotation
  • Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check
  • Ability to pass a drug screen

  • Experience in senior living communities, apartment communities, assisted living facilities, independent living communities, healthcare facilities, skilled nursing facilities, hotels and hospitality environments, or commercial facilities

  • Responding to maintenance emergencies as needed
  • Participating in the maintenance on-call program, including responding to after-hours emergencies
