About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring residents have a safe, comfortable, and attractive living environment by maintaining all electrical and mechanical equipment and appliances, and promptly making necessary repairs to structures. This role is considered essential for the community's operation, requiring consistent attendance to ensure effective performance and team workflow. The position is full-time and non-exempt.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Prior experience reflecting overall general mechanical aptitude and ability.
  • Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle).
  • EPA Certificate for Freon Recovery; HVAC Certificate.
  • Current Fair Housing Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced training, such as that obtained from a mechanical/supervising trade or technical school.
  • Prior experience as Service Manager for a multi-unit property.

Responsibilities

  • Abide by Fair Housing Laws.
  • Respond to residents' calls for service, completing plumbing repairs.
  • Respond to residents' calls for service, completing laying and repairing tile.
  • Respond to residents' calls for service, completing installing and repairing drywall.
  • Respond to residents' calls for service, completing repairing electrical switches.
  • Mend fences.
  • Assist with HVAC and Refrigeration repairs.
  • Cut keys.
  • Perform trash pickup.
  • Perform lawn care.
  • Clean swimming pools.
  • Shampoo carpets.
