About The Position

Schochet is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for Glen Meadow Apartments, a 280+ Market Rate apartment community located in Franklin, MA. This role offers an opportunity to join a team with over 50 years of encouraging growth and employee retention. Requirements

• Must have electrical/plumbing/ HVAC/appliance repair skills.
• Must be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and/or walk all day.
• Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
• Duties may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor.
• Must have experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair and unit turnover procedures.
• Must live within 30 minutes of Franklin, MA for rotating on-call.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
• Pre-employment background check & drug test required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior residential property maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completion of all types of work orders from residents.
• Completion of all resident apartment turnover tasks.
• Completion of “On-call” duties.
• Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• On-going inspection of tools and equipment for safety.
• Ensure full knowledge of property’s emergency procedures.
