Maintenance Technicians are responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plant machinery and equipment in a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment. Equipment may include Sidel blow-molding machinery, leak detectors, conveyor systems, chillers, towers, air compressors, dryers, strappers, stretch wrappers, and palletizers. The role requires close attention to quality and detail, familiarity with maintenance practices and tools, and the ability to work safely and support production needs. The technician performs predictive and preventive maintenance, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, and determines the parts and materials needed for repairs. The position also involves maintaining orderly work and stock areas, supporting and guiding coworkers in safe equipment operation, learning company computer systems, and providing coverage for absences according to local attendance policy. The technician may be required to remain on an assignment until it is complete or the Maintenance Manager releases them, and to take on other duties as plant and production needs change. Safety is central to the role. Employees are expected to follow safety policies and procedures, use required protective equipment, report incidents and hazards, assist with safety improvements, and refuse unsafe work. Amcor describes its broader mission as providing innovative and responsible packaging solutions, with safety as a core value.
