About The Position

We are currently looking for talented Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the 3rd shift. If you have the skills and experience to keep our operations running smoothly, we want to hear from you! As a Maintenance Technician at Meiji America/Stauffer's, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. You will ensure that all repairs are performed safely and efficiently. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance on all production equipment to keep our operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a formal technical training program or 5 years' experience in an industrial maintenance role.
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Millwright skills.
  • Experience with PLC’s, high speed packaging equipment and bakery equipment a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Industrial maintenance: 5 years (Required)
  • Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Required)
  • Ability to Commute: York, PA 17403 (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLC’s, high speed packaging equipment and bakery equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Ensure that all repairs are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
  • Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times.
  • Comply with all GMP requirements.
  • Dismantle equipment, remove defective parts and reassemble without supervision.
  • Read mechanical schematics and blueprints; follow directions from manuals.
  • Interpret work orders and complete them in a timely manner.
  • Make suggestions on improvements on replacement substitutes.
  • Install plumbing components when necessary.
  • Perform basic welding and possess basic welding knowledge.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and manual repair equipment.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Use advanced test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems with complex equipment and solutions.
  • Follow complex procedures, perform preventative maintenance tasks and look for hard-to-find defects or potential issues and correct them as needed.
  • Read complex drawings and troubleshoot independently.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and replace and update parts to resolve recurring causes.
  • Read complex pneumatic and air logic drawings and troubleshoot independently.
  • Read and troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and systems and replace parts without assistance.
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Read and record written instructions.
  • Work independently.
  • Maintain open, effective communication with team members as well as departmental and plant leadership.
  • Adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Pass Lock Out/Tag Out and PIT (Power Industrial Truck) certifications.
  • All other duties as assigned.
