About The Position

The Maintenance Technician role at Oak Island Accommodations is responsible for ensuring the needs of owners and tenants are met and that properties are well-maintained. This involves performing basic home repairs on a daily basis, including troubleshooting, plumbing, carpentry, lock repair, HVAC, pool maintenance, drywall repair, and appliance and electrical work. The technician will also assist Property Managers, owners, and guests as needed, and is responsible for recording and submitting completed work orders to the lead maintenance technician daily, with proper notations for any follow-up required. Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge of Federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Ability to keep an accurate inventory of work vehicle/stock.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform basic home repairs including troubleshooting, plumbing, carpentry, lock repair, HVAC, pool maintenance, drywall repair, and appliance and electrical work.
Assist Property Managers, owners, and guests as needed.
Record and remit completed work orders to the lead maintenance technician at the end of each workday.
Make proper notations on all work orders, especially if additional follow-up is required.
Maintain an accurate inventory of work vehicle/stock.
Other duties as assigned.
