About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I performs maintenance tasks that support daily manufacturing operations. The role focuses on repairs and preventive maintenance while developing troubleshooting skills across equipment and systems. Starting pay ranges from $27 to $32 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with overtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Openness to overtime, including weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of industrial maintenance or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs and replace defective parts as needed under supervision.
Perform general and preventive maintenance on electrical fixtures, machines, equipment, hydraulic equipment, and buildings.
Ensure equipment safeguards and protective devices are operational at all times.
Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
Request supplies needed for building and equipment maintenance.
Use hand tools in repair activities.
Assist with installation and replacement of equipment and facility components.
Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork.
Operate forklifts and lifts as required, or obtain certification.
Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S/Lean principles.
Support senior mechanics on repairs and projects.
Assist with production-related maintenance needs.
Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
Prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Follow safety policies, wear required PPE, and report hazards or incidents immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
