This position is responsible for performing inspections and extensive preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities. The role involves detailed diagnostic tests, routine repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustments of equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, adjusting, and replacing components, performing general mechanical overhaul, and minor welding. The technician will also perform in-depth diagnostic tests and major repairs, inspect hydraulic systems, and respond to emergency maintenance requests. Daily work orders will be managed, and assistance will be provided for new equipment installation and building renovations. The role requires keeping detailed records, conserving maintenance resources, obtaining correct replacement parts, and maintaining a clean work area. Continuous learning through workshops and publications is encouraged, along with maintaining a safe and clean working environment. The technician will contribute to team efforts, alert supervisors to unusual occurrences, and maintain professional conduct. While supervision is not a primary responsibility, direction may be provided to lower-level maintenance workers. Special projects may also be assigned.
