About The Position
Fortiva Residential is looking for a skilled, dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at one of our apartment communities. This is a full-time, hands-on role for someone who actually enjoys the work — diagnosing problems, turning units around fast, and being the person residents can count on when something goes wrong. No two days are exactly the same, and that's kind of the point.
Requirements
- HVAC Certification (required) — EPA Universal preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in apartment or residential maintenance
- Solid all-around skills: HVAC, plumbing, electrical basics, appliances, general repairs
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Someone who responds to emergencies without having to be chased down
- Pride in your work and respect for the people who live in the community you maintain
Responsibilities
- Handle service requests
- Make-readies for incoming residents
- HVAC diagnostics and repairs
- Lock changes
- Appliance moves
- Respond to occasional after-hours emergency calls
