About The Position

At our Owen, WI facility we are part of the Dairy and Culinary division and we make cheese powders, meal seasonings (mashed potato seasoning), dairy flavors and cheese sauce for our retail customers. This site participates in many local area charities and festivals throughout the year. We are looking for someone to help us keep things running! We have an immediate opening for a 12 Hr Night Shift Maintenance Technician, 6:00PM - 6:00AM on a rotating schedule. $3.00 Shift Differential for working Night Shift! Offering $3,000 Sign on Bonus!

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Electrical 3-phase systems, PLCs, and controls.
  • Extensive experience repairing and/or replacing pumps, motors, filters, and pipes.
  • Welding, cutting, and grinding, along with operation of a wide range of powered shop tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be available for emergency call-in to perform equipment and system repairs on a rotating basis per established procedures to ensure equal distribution of call-in responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems and malfunctions.
  • Repair, replace or rebuild process equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves and motors.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.
  • Independently perform preventive maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Planner per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.
  • Log all work performed on preventive maintenance work orders, repair work orders, and new equipment installations (including hours worked on each work order) in the CMMS program per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.
  • Serve on the Plant Safety Committee and attend company-sponsored Safety Training programs.
  • Work with the Maintenance team to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
