About The Position

Futamura USA is offering $1,000 in sign-on and retention bonuses for a Maintenance Technician position at our Tecumseh, KS production facility. The role offers a starting wage of $30.97 to $32.46 per hour, with immediate access to paid time off, eligibility for insurance enrollment within the first month, and overtime opportunities. The position involves performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facilities' equipment, including emergency and scheduled repairs. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills, along with troubleshooting and repair capabilities. The technician will also be responsible for preventive maintenance, using various tools and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and a clean work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, machinist, and industrial skills
  • Some PLC experience
  • Some HVAC experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, hoists, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Detects malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices, using hand tools.
  • Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
  • Detects faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
