About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on various systems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or related environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and motor controls knowledge.
  • OSHA safety awareness and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good listening skills and a passion to learn.
  • High work ethic, dependability, and detail oriented.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be open to cross-training opportunities.
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled manufacturing shop or field site.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekend, and on-call availability based on operations needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine root causes.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance procedures.
  • Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Weld manufacturing weldments together as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
