This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all production line equipment within the Department to prevent and/or correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns. The technician will cross-train on all lines in their department/area of responsibility, analyze equipment failures, and recommend/implement corrective actions. They will also troubleshoot, modify, and write new programs for PLCs, understand control loops, industrial networks, and transformers. Additionally, the technician will lead efforts to develop component lists for rebuild kits, assemblies, and standby equipment, and participate in project meetings. They will coordinate maintenance efforts with mechanics, other technicians, and line personnel across shifts, utilize the EAM system for documentation, and assist in developing spare parts requirements. Building strong working relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, Supervisors, Team Leads, and line operators is crucial. The role also involves supporting the plant's high-performance culture and continuous improvement programs, and actively participating in productivity programs. Compliance with all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs, as well as quality program requirements (HACCP and GMPs), is mandatory. Housekeeping duties and performing all tasks as assigned by the supervisor are also part of the responsibilities.
