About The Position

Republic Extrusions/Team Pride Extrusions is a leader in providing high-quality aluminum extrusion products and services tailored for various industrial needs. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure suitability for maximum productivity and a satisfactory working environment.

Requirements

Self-driven with a strong ability to work with others
Good communication in a team environment
Critical thinking skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of hydraulics
Knowledge of PLC controls
Knowledge of various electrical components
Knowledge of gas-powered ovens and furnaces
English speaking is required
Ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Basic computer skills with an ability to learn PLC programming and troubleshooting
2 years in industrial maintenance

Strong quality control background in the aluminum manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
Identify and report safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager
Report equipment, component and service needs to Maintenance Manager
Perform maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Prioritize safety needs and unexpected downtime reported throughout the plant and assure timely resolution
Maintain a basic knowledge of all equipment operations
Diagnose and correct hydraulic, electrical and PLC issues on extrusion presses and other equipment
Perform routine preventive maintenance
Maintain a good attendance record
Other Duties as assigned
