About The Position

Sumitomo is looking for a full time experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! With limited supervision and technical guidance, keep plant machinery and mechanical in good working order. Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving of various manufacturing machines.

Requirements

  • Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
  • General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.+

Nice To Haves

  • Three years preventive industrial maintenance experience preferred, but not required
  • Candidates with previous experience with CNC grinding, machining equipment, or HVAC a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
  • Repair CNC machines and/or robotics
  • May occasionally make replacement parts
  • Clean filters and general PM on coolant systems and mist collection components
  • Changing or adding oils and lubricants to production equipment
  • General cleaning and organization of tools and maintenance area
  • May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
