Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Sandhill Cove is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain its senior living community and provide exceptional service. The position involves repairs and maintenance across a range of building systems and requires familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems, licensed nursing home maintenance practices, and commercial food service requirements. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On-call rotations and work during evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required. Pay starts at $21 per hour and may be higher based on experience.
Requirements
- Prefer vocational or technical education or related experience.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices appropriate for a licensed nursing home setting.
- Understanding of maintenance requirements in commercial food service environments, including sanitation and coordination with kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical and HVAC work.
- Use computerized maintenance management systems.
- Apply maintenance practices appropriate for a licensed nursing home setting.
- Meet maintenance requirements in commercial food service environments, including sanitation and coordination with kitchen operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
