About The Position

MacLean Power Systems (MPS) is seeking Off-Shift Maintenance Technicians. This is a full-time position with shifts from 2 pm to 10 pm. MPS is a leading manufacturer of mission-critical and engineered components for the electric utility, telecommunications, and civil markets, operating seventeen production facilities across North America. MPS values integrity, innovation, and a results-driven mindset, offering a transparent pay structure with a base entry rate of $26.49 per hour, potentially rising to $38.41 per hour based on skill level. A shift differential of $1.25 per hour is provided for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in an industrial environment.
Experience with motor control circuits.
Familiarity with high voltages (3-phase).
Ability to work second shift, third shift, and overtime as necessary.
Must be able to walk, handle fine manipulation, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. infrequently.
Requires the ability to bend, squat, crawl, and climb heights or staircases occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of PLCs.
Experience in high-speed manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repair of foundry and machine shop equipment.
Change parts, keep machines in working order, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Read blueprints and electrical schematics to diagnose issues.
Diagnose complex malfunctions, troubleshoot ladder logic/PLCs, and handle high-voltage/3-phase power.
Utilize the CMMS system for documentation and work through tasks with minimal supervision.
