About The Position

ResProp Management is a growing multi-family property management company founded in 2010, managing over 20,000 units. They focus on servant leadership and hiring top talent. This Maintenance Technician role will have a strong focus on plumbing work orders and requests, aiming to drive resident satisfaction and property performance. The role involves maintaining property value through preventative maintenance, preparing vacant apartments, ensuring a safe work environment, and repairing critical building systems. Team members are encouraged to acquire skills to potentially assume Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities. The role also involves using software for performance tracking and handling a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry.
  • Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance repair.
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the community.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Applicants will be required to pass a background check and reference check prior to their first day to verify their employment eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
  • Trade Licensing preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO).

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and complete plumbing work orders/requests timely in a quality manner to drive resident satisfaction.
  • Perform work to maintain clean, safe, and attractive common areas, including pools, laundry, clubhouses, and parking lots.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property to maintain property value.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for move-in to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Identify and correct or report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or maintenance needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain and repair critical building and site systems.
  • Use software applications to track work and personal performance.
  • Handle a variety of tasks in an always developing environment as part of a team.
