About The Position

The Maintenance Technician assists with all aspects of maintenance and repair work on mechanical, structural, and electrical equipment and systems at assigned locations. The position receives direction from the Maintenance Manager and helps maintain safe, secure, and properly functioning facilities and equipment. Physical presence at the job site is essential.

Requirements

• Partial high school education; a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of jumper, drive, sweep, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Strong customer-service abilities, including actively looking for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
• Ability to read and write work-related documents in English.
• Ability to understand customers and coworkers and speak clearly enough to be understood.
• Ability to perform the stated physical tasks and be physically present at the job site.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the overall maintenance and repair of assigned unit operations under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
• Conduct scheduled inspections of designated buildings and equipment, and check and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Respond immediately to emergency facility needs and resolve issues related to safety, security, or business requirements.
• Lock and secure buildings and facilities; monitor, activate, and reset automatic security systems as appropriate.
• Assist the Manager with maintaining adequate inventory and security of maintenance supplies.
• Maintain a safe facility environment and upkeep standards for facility equipment.
• Notify the Manager of unusual events, circumstances, and safety or quality-control issues.
• Represent the company professionally and positively when interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors, and help maintain and enhance the company’s image.
• Wear the correct protective and safety equipment at all times.
