As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with preventative maintenance and general facility repairs within our behavioral health hospital. The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience, the ability to function independently, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 Years Experience in maintenance or facility operations required.
  • Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete duties involved with preventative maintenance systems
  • Assist the Plant Operations Director with general repairs of the facility and upkeep of the grounds
  • Perform general repairs related to plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems
  • Perform carpentry work, painting, roof maintenance, and general facility upkeep
  • Maintain awareness of changes in rules and regulations affecting department operations
  • Follow all OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a clean and neat uniform and demonstrate dependability
  • Assist in the cleaning, repair, and monitoring of facility systems (HVAC, refrigeration, generator, sprinkler, plumbing, elevator, electrical, page, smoke detectors, fire panels, pest control, fire alarm)
  • Perform roof maintenance and spot patching for leaks
  • Perform fence repair and replacement
  • Maintain patio area upkeep
  • Perform outside lighting checks
  • Perform daily trash and debris pickup around property
  • Keep walkways and entrances clear of obstacles, snow, and ice
  • Maintain parking lots clean and accessible to emergency vehicles
  • Examine painted surfaces and touch up chipped or scratched paint
  • Repair wallpaper damage and replace soiled ceiling tiles
  • Assist in upkeep and repairs to patient areas including lighting, handrails, door handles, furniture, beds, call cords, floors, bathroom fixtures, televisions, walls, windows, and screens
  • Maintain outside grounds and walkways, including snow removal when needed
