About The Position

Nucor Tubular Products–Marseilles is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safely support the maintenance and operations teams. The role performs routine preventive, breakdown, and upgrade maintenance to improve production equipment and processes during normal production hours. Work includes responding to repair calls, completing preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment, installing equipment, conducting root cause analysis, and performing other tasks beyond the normal capabilities of production personnel. The successful candidate communicates effectively across shifts and departments and uses sound judgment and troubleshooting skills to make decisions in compliance with facility safety policies, including JHAs, SJPs, and LOTO. General mechanical and electrical knowledge is necessary. The candidate must initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

Experience in multicraft maintenance.
General industrial electrical experience.
Basic welding and fabrication skills.
Knowledge of LOTOTO.
Ability to demonstrate proper communication, troubleshooting, sound judgment, and decision-making in compliance with safety policies.

Nice To Haves

2-year technical degree.
Participation in safety teams or programs.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and off shifts.
Willingness to work overtime to meet training requirements and increase skillset as needed.
