About The Position

Responsible for primary (PM) planned maintenance and small scope technical troubleshooting and repair activities. Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety and testing. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoots and diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with equipment. Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures. Acts as liaison for Contract Maintenance personnel and oversees contract maintenance activities as required. Trains Operators on (AM) Autonomous Maintenance developing PM/AM procedures and training programs. Maintains shop and equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience maintaining or fixing industrial or facility equipment (basic mechanical and electrical components like motors, sensors, wiring, and controls).
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including identifying common issues, replacing parts, and getting equipment safely back up and running.
  • Comfortable using diagrams and manuals to help diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Strong focus on safety and following proper procedures during maintenance and repair work (including Lockout/Tagout).
  • Experience performing routine preventive maintenance and helping keep equipment reliable over time.
  • Able to document work clearly, such as maintenance activities, repair notes, or equipment updates.
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills for tracking maintenance activity, downtime, or parts usage.
  • Enjoys working closely with operations teams, including helping train operators and supporting standard work like checklists or job aids.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
