About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician's primary purpose is to maintain plant equipment at optimum efficiency. Employees will be required to use their troubleshooting skills and experience to resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic (etc.), problems that may occur. Schedule Friday-Tuesday, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Two years of documented experience in industrial equipment maintenance or vocational training plus 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing plant.
Ability and knowledge to move/lift machinery using hoisting equipment, rollers and trucks.
Ability and knowledge to properly use tools and equipment such as drill presses, bench grinders, portable power and hand tools.
Electrical knowledge and skill in troubleshooting motors and control circuits.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Must have good problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service focus.
Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and physics.
Preventive/Predictive knowledge and experience.
Must have required basic hand tools.
Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

Welding a plus.
Spanish is a plus.
PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.
Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance and service.
Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
Inspecting machines regularly for signs of malfunctions.
Using a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed.
Keep a facility operating and repair the equipment when problems are discovered.
Log work activity into a computerized maintenance management system.
Adhere to company and department procedures and standards.
