About The Position
Cabana Apartment Homes is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our apartment community in Huntsville, AL, conveniently located near Bridge Street Town Centre, downtown Huntsville, and I-565.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous maintenance experience required (apartment or multifamily preferred)
- HVAC experience required
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation
- Must have basic maintenance tools and reliable transportation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests/work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs in apartment homes
- Prepare vacant units for move-in (make-readies / apartment turns)
- Diagnose and repair: HVAC systems, Electrical, Plumbing, Appliances, Carpentry and drywall
- Maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas
- Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation
- Maintain maintenance inventory and supplies
- Follow safety, OSHA, and Fair Housing guidelines
