About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is a part-time seasonal position responsible for performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds for Walmart AMP (Rogers) and Walton Arts Center (Fayetteville). Some travel between locations may be required. This role utilizes trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and heating and cooling, working under general supervision.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Reliable and punctual.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.

Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve while keeping a calm and professional demeanor.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone or in person to provide excellent services to a diverse array of coworkers, artists, and performers from all over the world.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently as well as with others to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
A minimum of two years of related work experience or training.

Responsibilities

Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC and Electrical.
Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
Reviews assigned work orders.
Maintains lighting systems throughout the facilities, cleaning fixtures, and replacing bulbs and lamps.
Performs carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks, as needed.
Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Performs general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading and moving materials.
Runs errands to support projects.
Maintains security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines.
Maintains professional working relationships with teammates, fellow staff members from other departments, vendors, patrons, and tenants of leased spaces.
Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.
