About The Position

Manufacturing Company is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to maintain all plant and production operations. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with no supervisory responsibility. The role requires working safely with high voltage electrical systems up to 480 volts three phase, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, and performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. The employee must be able to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make necessary adjustments. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day, with the ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment involves frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration, with significant noise levels.

Requirements

  • Technical Capacity.
  • Forklift Certified.
  • PLC Experience.
  • Must have experience with Electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Time management skills – will be required to work on multiple projects at various stages of completion.
  • A Positive, Self-Motivated Attitude.
  • Five years’ related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely with high voltage electrical systems up to 480 volts three phase, utilizing extreme care on troubleshooting & repairs where high voltages are involved.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other duties as directed by Management.
