About The Position
Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Maintenance technicians for a project in Ashland, VA. This is a 2-week contract opportunity with a well-established contractor supporting a specialized mechanical project. This role is ideal for Maintenance technicians who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while following established procedures and project checklists.
Requirements
- Maintenance experience or familiarity with HVAC systems and components
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency using common hand tools
- Clean background required
- OSHA 10 Certification
Responsibilities
- Perform filter changes and coil cleanings on outdoor data cooling systems
- Utilize basic electrical knowledge to support HVAC equipment components
- Follow project checklists and detailed work instructions to ensure quality deliverables
- Use hand tools to complete mechanical and electrical tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols
- Work independently while meeting production and quality expectations
