About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks including carpentry, painting, event setup and takedowns, minor electrical work, and minor plumbing repairs. This role ensures all building property is properly maintained, assists with furniture moving and equipment placement, and conducts frequent checks of all areas, reporting any faults according to the correct procedure. The technician is also responsible for the safe, correct, and economical use of equipment and cleaning materials, and performs other maintenance duties as needed. This includes performing inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas of assigned property, such as walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
  • At least one (1) year experience supporting mission critical environments
  • Hands on electrical or mechanical skill, and competence in the area of non-expertise
  • Operate and perform both routine and emergency service on a variety of state-of-the-art critical systems
  • Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications

Responsibilities

  • Building repair as it pertains to assigned buildings.
  • Install and repair; door closers and thresholds, door and frames, drywall, carpentry, wall covering, carpet repair, light electrical, ceiling tile, light plumbing, painting, floor tile.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • Respond effectively to all emergencies.
  • Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work, and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping, safety of work areas and company vehicle. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes or Laws.
  • Must be willing and able to support any afterhours building related activity as required.
  • Attend periodic training seminars, as a group or solo with an on-line computer, on or off site.
  • Safe guard all company and clients assets and electronic devices in your possession.
